Hello everyone! This is Maya! We participated in the momentous 100th anniversary Blackpool Dance Festival!
At first We didn't think we could go, but then we suddenly decided we would try our best to go after all! So, even though it was only for a week, We went straight to Blackpool without even going to London!
we're so glad we went! We learned and absorbed so much!
What's more! We were able to reunite with old friends and it felt like we had traveled back in time! Blackpool is on the beach, so it's packed with tourists at this time of year!
But seriously, the hotel diagonally across from where we were staying was blasting loud music from morning till night, making the outside feel like a club!
There are so many things I'd like to tell you, but first, here's a commemorative photo with our great friends!

Paul Harris, who introduced us to him.
If I hadn't met him, we wouldn't have met either!
It's amazing how connections can be made!
He is the UK Open Amateur Latin Champion, the Blackpool Exhibition Champion, and currently works as a judge and choreographer in Hollywood!

And then! As we were part of his "London Theatre Ballroom" production at the time, we performed in a show at the Royal Albert Hall as part of his work!
At the time, I wasn't yet doing ballroom dancing; I was performing as a theater performer.
Matt will be performing as a ballroom dancer.
They are both working on different scene, and Ishra, who danced Matthew's partner in one of those show, is also competing in Blackpool! ⬇︎

It felt like I had traveled back in time!

Winter Garden is here!

Us before the comp!

Alright! We're back in Japan and the competition is coming up soon!
We'll be getting ourself in shape!
