Summer in Cornwall 🏖️☀️
Hi, it’s Matt! 🇬🇧✈️ We’ve just returned from a wonderful trip to the UK! 🇬🇧❤️ We spent a week in Cornwall, in the south-west of England, and it was such a special trip. As a child and teenager, I used to visit Cornwall every year with my parents and sister, so returning there brought back so many wonderful memories. 🥰🌊 It was a wonderfully nostalgic holiday, visiting places from my childhood and sharing those memories with my family again. ☀️🏖️ The reason for this spec

We're going to Cornwall for a week as a family to celebrate Matt's parents' golden wedding anniversary. Celeste's group and private lessons are being held as usual, so the studio is open as usual on Saturdays! And! A few months ago, I worked as an interpreter at the Harry Potter Studios Tokyo! Beating the summer heat! ☀️
👋🏻 Hello everyone, Celeste here! 👋🏻 It’s been a while since my last blog post! The temperatures have really started to rise this month, and it definitely feels like summer is here. 😅 During the hot summer months, I know some of our students change the times of their dance lessons to avoid the heat. I do the same—I switch my practice schedule from mornings to evenings from July until around the middle of September. 👍🏻 As we prepare for the height of summer, one of the m

Dancewave Radio! 🎤🎙️
Hello everyone! 👋 This is Matthew. The other day, we had the pleasure of being invited to speak on Dance Wave Radio. 🎙️ It was our first time being invited, so it was quite a nerve racking experience. As it turned out, though, we had nothing to worry about because it was actually a lot of fun! 😄 Each segment was only around 2½ to 3 minutes long, so once the presenter asked a question and we answered, those three minutes went by incredibly quickly! ⏱️ We had a fantastic tim

Blackpool 2026 🇬🇧🕺💃
Hello everyone, this is Matt 👋🏻 We’re back! ✈️ We only spent just over a week in the UK, but somehow it felt much longer! 😅 Our time in Blackpool was, as always, very memorable. 🌟 It is incredibly inspiring to dance at the Winter Gardens. Being in such a wonderful venue and sharing the floor with some of the world’s best dancers is a truly special experience. I always come away from events like this with a renewed reminder of just how much more I have to give on the dance

Surfinias and Summer Memories 🌺
👋🏻 Hello everyone, this is Celeste. 👋🏻 It suddenly became very hot this week, didn’t it? I commute from Kokubunji to Ikegami, and I sometimes wonder, “Is there any train line with delays as bad as the Chuo Line?” 😱 I leave much earlier than necessary to account for delays, but when the trains are actually running smoothly, I end up arriving far too early! 😅 One such morning, I discovered some very beautiful surfinias! 🌸 Surfinias keep blooming with new flowers one afte

Saetta Photo Shoot
On Wednesday (6th), I took part in a dancewear photoshoot for Saetta Dance 📸✨ I’m very proud and happy that they offered to sponsor me almost a year ago. 🙏 The dancewear is excellent quality. I’ve been wearing the Saetta tailsuit for nearly a year now, and I must say it is extremely comfortable and very easy to dance in! 💃🕺 The photoshoot went really well! Everyone was very friendly and professional, and I always enjoy visiting places that I don’t usually get the chance t

Studio Party 🥳 🦖🦕
Hello everyone, this is Celeste 👋🏻 Now that we’re in April, we’ve already had a few summer-like days ☀️! By the way, this weekend is our studio party. Those of you who have seen the studio poster probably already know, but the theme of this party is 🦖 “Jurassic Park” 🦕. We are steadily progressing with rehearsals for the pro formation, inspired by the theme, so please look forward to it. We are very much looking forward to dancing with all of you on Saturday 💃💕

The rush of competition has finally come to an end!
Good evening everyone! This is Maya! The rush of away competitions has finally come to an end! We've been to Kyoto, Fukuoka, Hokkaido, and last week in Asakusa! We went on many trips this year, but unfortunately We didn't stay overnight in every place we visited, so we couldn't do any sightseeing. However, we did breathe in a lot of fresh air! The JCF association competitor party, JPCL CUP, has successfully concluded, and next week we'll be having our studio party! This tim

JPCL Cup 🥳
Hello everyone, this is Matt! Last Sunday, we participated in the JPCL Cup Party! 🎉 It was certainly a long day, but also a lot of fun. We started the day with a rehearsal of our formation (which both Maya and I choreographed), and everything went very well. It really set us on a positive path for the rest of the day. 💃🕺 The day was filled with dance time, trials and amateur demonstrations, and before we knew it, the evening had arrived. When it was finally time to perform

Universal Dance Grand Prix
Good evening everyone! This is Maya! Last week at the Hiten Room of the Shin Takanawa Prince Hotel We participated in a major competition called the Universal Grand Prix! Last week we won the Kanagawa Championship, but unfortunately this time we only made it to the final qualifying round. It was very disappointing, but we will use this frustration as motivation to hone my skills even more! Many students from our school came to cheer us on! Thank you so much! After the compet

Kanagawa 1st place 🥇
Hello everyone, Matt here 👋 On March 1st, we competed in the Kanagawa Championships and wow, what a day! This competition is particularly tough because each dance lasts two full minutes . That might not sound too bad at first… but when you’re dancing all five dances back-to-back, it adds up to nearly 10 minutes of almost non-stop movement 😅🔥 We’re incredibly grateful to have placed 1st 🥇✨ It’s always rewarding when the hard work pays off. And as part of the victory… I h

March 1, 2026 Kanagawa Championship Tournament
Hello everyone! It's Maya! Yesterday we participated in the Kanagawa Championship Tournament! We (Matthew & Maya) were fortunate enough to win the Professional Kanagawa Championship Ballroom! The highlight of this Kanagawa Championship is that each song is 2 minutes long, and the winner will be crowned with a "laurel wreath" and perform an honor dance! It was all about stamina! We were extremely nervous as we had competitions every weekend, but our practice paid off and we we

Kaldi Coffee 😱
👋🏻 Hello everyone, it’s Celeste! 👋🏻 Since February started, the weather has suddenly turned cold, then warm again — it’s that time of year when it’s easy to get run down. So, today’s blog is local 🗞️ news. Those of you who use the Tokyu Store above Ikegami Station 🚃 may already know, but unbelievably, the Kaldi Coffee on the 3rd floor is closing!! 😱 This is really shocking news for me 😭 I’m a heavy Kaldi Coffee user, so I’m very sad to see it go 😭 I wonder what shop

Kyoto
Hello everyone! It's Maya! Last weekend, it snowed in Tokyo ☃️ and on Sunday we went to our first competition of the year in Kyoto! Took the Shinkansen on Sunday morning and danced in the afternoon! After it was over, we took the Shinkansen back to Tokyo in the evening! Kinkakuji Temple was nearby, but unfortunately we couldn't go, and it was snowing in Kyoto, even at night! The Shinkansen was 40 minutes late... But we were just grateful that it was working! The train was mo
